Advanced settings

Desktop Animation Speed

Desktop animation speed slider
This setting changes the speed that changes to the desktop image, colors and labels are made. Setting this to 0 will disable Core Animation for the desktop window. Using Core Animation to draw the desktop can put a strain on older video cards, or video cards without a lot of memory. If your desktop turns completely white or you are finding Hyperspaces too slow, try setting this slider to 0.

Space Switcher

Show desktop images in the Space Switcher
Disabling this setting will make the switcher show a plain background with the current tint color drawn overtop.
Left click shows the Space Switcher
This setting lets you choose if you'd like left or right mouse click to activate the switcher.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Directional keyboard shortcuts wrap around when they reach an edge
By default when you're changing spaces, Hyperspaces will wrap around to the first space when it reaches the last (and the last when it reaches the first). If you would like to stop this from happening, uncheck this option.

Growl

Use Growl to announce changes to the active space and configuration
If you would like to use Growl to show notifications when changing the active space, or the configuration of your spaces, check this option. Further control of this feature is available in the Growl preference pane once this setting is enabled.
