Change the menu transparency for a space

Hyperspaces allows you to enable and disable the transparency of the Mac OS X menu bar on a per-space basis. This can be useful, as the custom desktop image is not drawn under the system menu bar by default.

  1. Open the Hyperspaces Preferences.
  2. Select the Your Spaces toolbar item.
  3. Select the space (or spaces) that you would like to change the menu transparency for in the space selection view.
  4. Ensure that the Options tab is selected.
  5. Click the checkbox labelled Translucent menu bar.

On some older Macs, this option may not have any effect.
